The times shown are the origination times of State Tests. The tests may be received by your station(s) up to 2 hours after the origination time. This depends on whether your station(s) has a direct link or monitors a relay of other stations. State monthly tests (RMT) are required and must be re-transmitted within 60 minutes of the time they are received. Weekly local tests (RWT) are also required to be run. Stations are reminded that their EAS receiver must be programmed to receive all of the codes listed in the Oklahoma State Plan, but not necessarily activate on them.  Each station should log receipt of 2 RMT tests a month and 2 RWT each week a RMT is not scheduled.

The Statewide Amber Alert Program will transmit abduction alerts with a Child Abduction Emergency (CAE) code. Four Amber Alert tests are to be sent out during 2006 at the dates and times listed above.

The Amber Alert or information contained in the alert should be Broadcast every 30 minutes for the first two hours and every hour for the following three.
Pictures of the victim or suspected abductor and additional information on the abduction will be posted on the Amber Alert website whenever they are available.
The best source for additional information on the abduction will be the law enforcement agency that originated the alert. Participating law enforcement agencies have been instructed that they should be prepared to handle media inquiries.
Citizens calling your station with information regarding the Abduction should be referred to the telephone number announced in the alert.  Under no circumstance should station personnel take or announce information of this nature.

Any questions about EAS should be directed to State Co-Chairmen Roger Herring, (918) 445-9398, rherring@ktul.com  or Britt Lockhart, BrittLockhart@clearchannel.com  (405) 841-0258.
